	LICENCE:
All files in this package can be freely distributed and used
according to the terms of the GNU General Public License, either
version 2 or (at your opinion) any newer version. This is the same
distribution policy as for the Linux kernel itself -- see
	/usr/src/linux/COPYING for details.

	ABOUT:
atapci is a userland port of Linux kernel code responsible
for displaying /proc/ide/ chipset specific information,
formerly this program was called ide-info

most of code for drivers is ripped from kernel source,
so credits go to authors of appropriate drivers.

	PROS:
	- keep kernel drivers simpler thus easier to mantain
	- code can be easily modified without need of recompiling
	  and rebooting kernel
	- don't waste kernel memory

	REQUIREMENTS:
	- PCI Library by Martin Mares (thanks!), right now
it is included in /lib directory (from pciutils 2.1.8).
	- root priviliges for some (most) chipsets because
normal users can only read first 64 bytes of PCI
config-space and can't read data from I/O ports

	COMPILING:
	- edit Makefile.cfg to suit your needs
	- type 'make'

	PARAMETERS:
	- type './atapci -h' to see list

	TODO:
	- use shared pcilib
	- add more chipsets support, enhance existing one etc.
	- other Unixes?

	THANKS:
	- Dave Jones for contribs to old ide-info
