If you have really tried *really* hard and still cant get it working
in the following rough order:

- Try reading Kal Lin's web page at:
http://www.cs.toronto.edu/~kal/hse/resource.html
see if that can resolve your problems.
- try reading the FAQ
**** If you get pppd dying on you then read question 3) on the FAQ.
The solution is outlined there.
- try asking other people who have it working ...

And as a last resort:
---------------------

- run pppoed with debug level 6 (-d flag) and force it to display
on the screen you started things at.
		i.e pppoed -d 6 -D

+turn on the kdebug 7 and debug options in the /etc/ppp/options file.
	- Dont forget to ensure that pppd messages are sent to the
	/var/log/messages file
The way to do this is normally to add a line like:
*.debug /var/log/messages

to /etc/syslog.conf and then restart syslogd. Be careful with
indentation etc in this file. The best way to do it is via a
	cut-and-paste of another line.

Now try to re-run pppoed again and see if you can resolve the problem.

If you still cant figure it out:
- capture the first few packets using either tcpdump or ethereal.
(A patch for tcpdump is included to display pppoe packets. This
patch is also now included in the latest snapshot from tcpdump.org)

- should you still not be able to resolve it, send me the logs of
all the necessary bits as described in this section
("And as a last resort")
