To get Mauve to look like the screenshot, I've included the .gif file to be
used as the titlebar pixmap in KDE. Place a copy of 'mauvebar.gif' into
either /usr/share/apps/kwm/pics or ~/.kde/share/apps/kwm/pics.
Click your KDE panel "K" button, choose "Settings", then "Windows", then
"Titlebar". Under the "Appearance" section you will want to have the
box next to "Pixmap" checked, then browse for 'mauvebar.gif' in whichever
directory you copied it over to.

I'm using the "Solaris CDE" Theme that comes default with KDE (at least in
Mandrake 6.1 and 7.0) if you like the softer grey/mauve color scheme,
I think it's a little less drab than the default KDE colors.

I've also included 3 new icons I've been tinkering around with; one for
invisible mode, an alternate incoming message icon, and an alternative to
the message history icon (the white piece of paper). To use any or all
of them, (make backup copies of the original icons first!) copy the icons
into your ~/.kde/share/apps/kxicq/pics directory. You will most likely have
to close all the way out of Kxicq and restart it again for the changes to
take effect.

Special thanks to Gompy, for being so patient with me while I've bugged the
heck out of him with ideas for new features and about skinning support for
Kxicq. He originally wasn't planning on implementing it at all until after
the 0.4 beta version. The pace at which he has implemented new features and
bugfixes continues to amaze me, and I can't wait till KDE 2 comes out so we
can see what he's got in store for us then :)
