Grisu v. 1.3.x
README file

Support for character encodings other than ISO-8859-1 (Latin1)
--------------------------------------------------------------
Grisu selects the character encoding it uses to display its textual
output based on the system locale, which depends on the LC_CTYPE
environment variable.

Examples:

LC_CTYPE	Encoding
------------------------------------------------------
en_US ISO-8859-1 (Latin1)
pl_PL ISO-8859-2 (Latin2)
de_DE@euro	ISO-8859-15 (Latin1 w/ euro character)

On KDE 2 systems, it is necessary to select the proper encoding for
each of the different output fonts in the font selection dialogbox
of the respective font in addition to setting LC_CTYPE.
You can bring up the font selection dialogbox from the Options|Fonts
menu in Grisu's main window.

On KDE 3 systems, the proper encoding is chosen automatically, so
the second step is not necessary.

Unicode is currently not supported in Grisu.
