WPJabber FAQ-xdb

===========================================================

How can I use new xdb_file with new dirs ?

You can build xdb_copy binary file in xdb_file directory
( just do "make copy" ).

Later you have to create dir spool1
( You will have
  /spool
  /spool1
  dirs )

Later do "find spool/ -name "*.xml" -exec xdb_copy {} \;"

Notice:
    xdb_copy tool is prepared to work wiht dirs in format:
    ./spool/xdb_type/hostname/...
    For example:
    ./spool/roster/jabber.wp.pl/...

If you have format like:
    ./spool/hostname/... you need to create extra dir, and later remove it.

xdb_copy will transfer all files to spool1.
Later rename spool to spool_old,
And spool1 do spool dir.

How can I use xdb_sql, xdb_ldap and other xdb

This modules can not work with wpjabber in one process.
So you need to configure jabber-1.4.2 with these modules
and add connection to wpjabber:

<service id="wpjabber">
  <host/>
  <connect>
    <ip>
    <port>
    ..
  </connect>
 </service>

 In wpjabber add:

 <xdb id="external_xdb">
  <host/>
  <ns/>
  <accept>
    <ip>
    <port>
    ...
    ..
  </accept>
 </xdb>

See example configuration files !
