Description:
------------
Little Kicker applet that allows selecting CD-ROM speed, eject & close
CD-ROM tray, and mount & unmount disc.

Story:
------
First idea was to create applet for changing CD-ROM speed, because of need
to slow down loud CD drive while listening to mp3's, or playing movies.
There are command line utilities for this purpose, but they're not very
comfortable. So I wrote applet with this functionality, and then I realized,
that it could do few more useful things with CD-ROM drive. What about
ejecting and closing tray, together with mounting and unmounting ? So, now
it works.

Detecting supported read speeds:
--------------------------------
This seems not so easy, as selecting speed. Currently the applet can not
detect actual speed, nor other supported speeds of CD-ROM drive. I'm working
on it.

Testing:
--------
Applet was tested on my CD-recorder TEAC CD-W516EB, which rocks, and on old
BTC 10x CD-ROM, which was strange. Everything was working when media was
loaded, but if not, it always reported error - after attempt to change
speed, attempt to eject, or close tray. So I can't tell it will work with
your drive, but it can.

Enjoy !
