This is a perl script that reads data from a serial port provided
by an Alcatel Omni PCX PBX system. The script should be OS
independant, but is developed on a White Box Enterprise Linux
machine.

The Alcatel Omni PCX has a management serial port, used to
log in to the system, but you can also print "call tickets"
to that port. These tickets are a formatted record of
terminated calls in the system. This script will read the
port, filter out the junk (optionally logging it,) process
the ticket and print it to a csv file for further processing
later. I hope to either add a web component and database backend
to make generating reports easier or interface with one of the
existing web based products (such as Delator.)

Alcatel wants you to buy a network serial port, then they
will send clean data to that port. The one onboard
serial port is the serial console and management port,
so it's got data going to it all the time.

I removed getty on that line (although it's not necessary
anymore) and I use a hacked up serial cable that can
only receive data from the PCX and can't send. This
just made things a little easier when I was writing
this, but I don't think it's necessary. If you have
trouble, you may want to try it.

There is further documentation in the script itself.

More information is available in your OmniPCX manual, if
you can pry a copy from your vendor.

This is my first ever perl program, so no laughing.
