MOD_CVS PLUG-IN MODULE FOR APACHE WEBSERVER
-------------------------------------------
Version 0.5

GENERAL INFORMATION

The maintainer of mod_cvs is Martin Insulander (martin@insulander.com).
Since people who intend to try out mod_cvs probably are going to use
it for the web, installation instructions and project information is
presented on the web. Please consult the following address for further
information than what is presented here:

QUICK INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

DSO (Dynamic Shared Object) use:

1. Open the Makefile in your favourite editor and change the variable
   APROOT to the appropriate path.

2. Run 'make ; make install'. If this worked, skip steps 3-5.

3. Edit 'Makefile.alternate' to suit your platform. It's only a couple of
switches to gcc that have to be altered for different platforms.

4. Run 'make -f Makefile.alternate'. (Alternately rename Makefile.alternate
   to Makefile and run 'make'.)

5. Move mod_cvs.so to a directory of your choice.

6. Add the following line to your httpd.conf:
   LoadModule cvs_module /path/to/mod_cvs.so
(If you successfully installed using steps 1-2, mod_cvs.so will reside in
the libexec/ directory under your Apache root.)

Build with Apache use:

1. Copy mod_cvs.c to your apache-distribution-dir/src/modules/extra/,
and run the configure script with the --add-module option
pointing to the module. Verify that the module was added.

2. Run make ; make install.
