5/7/04: version 1.0b3
---------------------
-Bug fix: If your alias had a space in it, the program would crash when loading
a saved game. NOTE: New save file format. Unless deleted, previous saved games
WILL CRASH upon loading. Afterward, game will work fine.

4/2/04: version 1.0b2
---------------------
-Bug fix: Game would not delete after you lost (this is how it's supposed to
be).
-Bug fix: Score not calculated properly at some points.
-Feature enhancement: New instructions for installing at different locations
besides /usr/local (except under Cygwin).
-New feature: .lg file syntax documented in LGFILESYNTAX for translators and
developers.

3/16/04: version 1.0b1
----------------------
-The beta is ready! Thanks to all who made suggestions. In a few months, if
everything is OK, the beta will be made stable.
-Bug fix: New configuration instructions to run the program under Mac OS X,
thanks to Mike Goggin <VaalRuk_Tosk@hotmail.com>
-New feature: Now, your game automatically saves and loads.
-New feature: README file with documentation.

2/3/04: version 0.4
-------------------
-Bug fix: Older C libraries would not compile properly without some hacking.
-New feature: Scoring works in the game. Without any spoilers, the goal is
to get the most activity done in the least amount of time.
-Bug fix: Experience points gained after hacking would not display properly.
-Feature enhancement: New level after 800 points, not 1000 (easier).

7/9/03: version 0.34
--------------------
-Bug fix: First leapyear would come after 5 years. Now you begin the
game in a leapyear.
-Feature enhancement: A 40% chance of the logoff feature in the hacker
fights working was unfair, so I raised it to 60%.

7/4/03: version 0.337
---------------------
-Feature enhancement: Support for computer experience and level added.
-Feature enhancement: "Hack" used again instead of "crack." I know some people
don't like it, but the majority of the population uses "hack" when they mean
"crack."
-Installation: -O2 optimizations used by default in the Makefile now until
stable version comes out.
-Code cleanup: Removed some unnecessary code.
-Bug fix: Certain spots in the game wouldn't allow you to enter "show w"
or "show c" to show parts of the GPL.
-Bug fix: There was a newline after the pause after falling asleep.
-Feature enhancement: Two new waste time options, including "free program"
download which may also increase your security level.
-New feature: The long-awaited ability to hack another geek is here! Note the
script-kiddie style version number, 0.337. Now the game is fun.
-New rule: It is extremely silly to stay in college for 70 years or more.
Now, after 70 years in the game calendar, you die of old age.
-Happy 4th of July!
-Feature enhancement: February will be 29 days every 4 years, as it should be.
-Bug fix: Only one virus can be uploaded now, since having several virus
infections didn't make a difference in the game.

6/14/03: version 0.31
---------------------
-Bug fix: Version 0.3 would not build with older C libraries (pre-glibc-2.1).
-Installation: There are now 3 lines of code in version.h which may need to
be commented out on older compilers/C libraries. NOTE: if 0.3 failed to
build, try building again before commenting anything out. See
INSTALL/INSTALL.txt for details.
-Installation: Makefile and INSTALL/INSTALL.txt updated with required standards
and recommended software.

6/13/03: version 0.3
--------------------
-Feature enhancement: Some more "waste time" options.
-Bug fix: "make distclean" no longer gives an error after not finding
the other platform's output file, but you have to set "O" in the Makefile.
-New feature: Game calendar now put in. It's elapsed time, not a calendar.
Scoring system not yet put in.
-Bug fix/feature enhancement: Dollar signs added to several places in lg files.
-Bug fix/feature enhancement: Currency now looks like currency.
-Installation: From now on, you need to edit version.h and version.c as well as
the Makefile to define certain settings. Installation is still manual; program
will have a standard "make install" when the beta comes out.
-Installation: New installation instructions in INSTALL/INSTALL.txt.
-Feature enhancement: Randomness improved.
-New rule/feature enhancement: 30% chance job won't be found
-New rule/feature enhancement: Education level% chance required course won't
be found
-New rule/feature enhancement: 25% chance of failing a course
-Code cleanup: Removed some unnecessary variables.

5/21/03: version 0.23
---------------------
-TODO didn't reflect all changes of last version.
-Downloading WaReZ in the Waste Time section might increase your security
level.
-Bug fix: Duplicate !PDENRGY1 in main.lg crashed game when user tried
to drink energy drink.
-Three more "waste time" options.
-Bug fix: job.lg did not put a space before occupation
-Bug fix/feature enhancement: No dollar sign before money earned in job.lg.

5/20/03: version 0.22
---------------------
-Included strlwr uses tolower now (works with all languages according to your
OS).
-All trademarked product names removed.
-Text files now main.lg, license.lg, waste.lg, and job.lg.
-Transition of the information from the source files to external text
files is complete. Now I resume working on the rest of the game. Note
that game is still not finished yet, so wait before translating.
-There was a duplicate function in there for some reason.
-Security level better integrated into the game.
-Bug fix: Pauses after showing statistics now.

4/24/03: version 0.21
---------------------

-Text files are used now for easier translation, at the suggestion of
Dani <dani@bergernet.ch>
-license.lg contains GNU General Public License "show w" and "show c"
      commands
     -game.lg contains everything else

File format will be explained when documentation comes out. Pretty
self-explanatory, though.

NOTE: As of version 0.21, the transferring of code into the text files is
only PARTIALLY DONE now. I only released this version early because of the
serious bugs mentioned below that I found. I'd wait before translating,
I still have to put in variable support, cracker battles, etc

-Politically-correct "crack" used instead of "hack."
-Fixed a bug where you would be caught in an infinite loop when you were
in the caffeine menu.
-Fixed a bug where you could drink energy drinks you didn't have.
-Fixed a bug where "show w" and "show c" had to be lowercase at one point
in the game.
-Fixed a bug where you would be stuck in the game if you had no energy
and no money instead of falling asleep.
-Fixed a bug where energy wasn't deducted after leaving the caffeine menu.
-Fixed a bug where only one energy drink would be bought instead of what
user specified.
-Changelog said 2002 instead of 03, my mistake.

4/7/03: version 0.2
-------------------

-You can give the geek a name now.
-First "public" release. I didn't make the last one "public" other than my
web site.
-"make clean" removes object files.
-"make distclean" removes object files, lifegeek, and lifegeek.exe if they
exist. An error is given if you don't have both lifegeek and lifegeek.exe,
ignore it for now.
-To be more considerate, replaced all bools with ints. I could have done
a #define but there's no point.
-Fixed a bug where if you said not to take a class, it would try to anyway.
-The game's object is now integrated into the game. Get out of college with
40 courses, an uninfected computer at max health, and you win.
-Type "show w" or "show c" at any time in the game to display the parts
of the GNU General Public License.

4/3/03: version 0.1
--------------------

First release.
