----------- Kemistry Compilation and Installation Instructions ----

In order to compile and install Kemistry please follow these instructions.
Please remember: Kemistry requires KDE 3.x (tested with KDE 3.0.[0-4])

1) Create the configure script:
	$ make -f Makefile.cvs
This step must be executed only if you have downloaded Kemistry sources
via CVS.
You will need recent versions of autoconf (at least 2.5x), automake (at least 1.5) and perl.

2) Run the "configure" script:
	$ ./configure --prefix=/opt/kde3

If you have installed KDE 3 under a different prefix (for example
/usr/local) you must specify it:
	$ ./configure --prefix=/usr/local
You may compile with debug informations enabled (very useful if you want to submit a
bug report):
	$ ./configure --prefix=/opt/kde3 --enable-debug=full

If you want to compile and install the (experimental) KOffice part (you'll need
KOffice headers and libraries) use the --with-koffice-part option:
  $ ./configure --with-koffice-part

3) Compile kemistry sources:
	$ make

4) Install kemistry (you must have root privileges in order to successfully complete this step):
	$ su
	# make install
