cpufreqd-1.0-beta1
This is a beta release of cpufreqd.

At the moment it's been testes only on my laptop (VAIO gr7/k with the
speedstep CPUFreq driver).

It's been working good here for many days. I'm using it on a Debian
testing and I provided a simple startup script to put in /etc/init.d
and link in rc.dX (see update-rc.d (8)).

Please test it and report any bug and suggestion to <dongili@supereva.it>.

cpufreqd is meant to be a replacement of the speedstep applet you
can find on some other OS, it monitors battery level, AC state and
running programs and adjusts the frequency governor according to
a set of rules specified in the config file (see cpufreqd.conf (5)).

In the near future it will be modularized to implement more policies
and adjust CPU frequency directly through the userspace driver.
It'll probably need a larger set of properties for each new policy.

For the moment I'd suggest configuring cpufreqd with:
./configure --prefix=/usr
because of some hardcoded paths (I'll remove them soon).
