Introduction
============
This is an early release of rox-tasklist.
The tasklist has several problems. Please see the file BUGS and TODO to
find out what it's limitations are. This release is being made in order
to get the tasklist out there, it is somewhat usable and it may be useful
to you. The author does use it at this point, just be warned that this
is a development release of it. Another reason for this release is to
try to get some developers involved. If you are interested in helping
with the project, please email pngwen@acm.org and let me know.

Now, that that's over with. This is a tasklist that can be run as an
applet or an application. With this in hand, rox is much more usable
with sawfish or other window managers that don't provide a tasklist.
This alleviates the infamous "when I minimize the window it vanishes"
complaint a lot of people have had about sawfish. Also it makes it easy
to bring a window to the top without a lot of searching.

Requirements
============
ROX 1.2 or greater
rox-clib 0.2.2 or greater
GTK 1.x

Usage
=====
Using rox-tasklist is very easy. Simply drag it to your
taskbar or double click on it and it will compile and run. Once it is
up you will see a list of your windows. Single clicking on a window's
button will raise the window and give it the focus. Double clicking
will minimize (iconify) the window.

Right clicking on rox-tasklist will pull up a menu of options. Right clicking
on a window button will give you a list of things to do to that window and a
link to the main menu. Right clicking anywhere else gives you the main menu.

On the main menu you can quit, or configure rox-tasklist. The configuration
options are pretty straight forward so I'll let you figure that out.

Legal Stuff
===========
rox-tasklist is free software and is distributed
under the terms of the GPL. See COPYING for more details.
