*** Xor must be revealed!

His many faces are scattered through
15 levels. Acquiring all the faces on
any level will enhance your knowledge
of Xor.

Beware Xor controls his world and
doesn't give up his personality easily.

*** Controls:

Use the arrow keys to move your player.
Alternatively, z and x move the player
left and right, and ' and / move up
and down.

Pressing enter, or p, switches between
the two players.

*** Scrolling:

You can control when the game area will
scroll by pressing the keys 1, 2, or 3.
These values represent how many units
the player can approach the boundary of
the viewable game area before it will
scroll one unit. The default is two
units.

*** The Information Panel:

The information panel displays the icon
of the currently selected player. Next
to the player icon you will see the
number of masks remaing to be collected
and how many you have collected so far.

Each level must be completed within a
maximum of 2000 moves. The number of
moves remaining is displayed for you.

The remainder of the information panel
is devoted to the map. In order to use
the map you must collect the four map
pieces scattered around each maze.

The map panel only displays a rough
aproximation of the map, press m to
toggle the full map display and use the
up and down arrow keys to scoll the map
up or down.

*** Replays:

Xorcurses has quasi-advanced replay
options. Upon completing or quitting
a level, you're given several options:

y - start replay.
n - no replay, just quit.
c - continue playing from this point.
s - save replay.

During replay, you can change the speed
by pressing the keys 1 to 9. With key 1
being slow and 9 being fast. Pressing q
again will present the replay options
again. If you did not mean to quit when
prompted for a replay, press c to carry
on from where you left. You can also use
this in the case where you made a
mistake, just watch the replay up to the
point just before the mistake and press
q followed by c.

To save a replay, press s when prompted,
and then type the name of the replay
file to save to. It is recommended to
use an .xcr for the file name extension.

To load a replay, press l at the main
menu and type the name of the replay
file. In this manner, the replay save
and load features allow you to use it as
a game save and load.

XorCurses saves replays in the current
working directory, and looks here too,
when asked to load a replay.

*** Tips:

XorCurses does not require speed nor
agility to complete. It requires lots of
thinking.

Some levels require you to sacrifice one
of your players, while other levels
require both players to work side by
side.

In some situations it pays to know that
if you move vertically, then objects
which move horizontally will move before
those that move vertically. Likewise, if
you move horizontally, vertically moving
objects will move first.
