= Recruiting =

You can try to recruit any non-hostile NPC, however some may refuse to join you. Whether or not a character will join your party depends on the power rating of your party. The power rating of a party is equal to the power rating of its most powerful member. Characters will refuse to join a party if its power rating is lower than their own. The maximal party size is three, once your party has reached this size no new character will be willing to join.

Hiring costs

Characters who carry items will demand money when you try to recruit them. The amount of money they demand is equal to the combined value of their items.

HINT: The most powerful characters you can recruit are on the highest level controlled by your faction, while the least powerful ones are on the lowest.

= Controlling Party Members =

You can take full control of any party member at any time, however you can never control more than one character at a time. To take control of a character press the hotkey shown next to his name.

= Death of Party Members =

Losing party members by death does not mean that you have lost, except if the player character, the character you created at the beginning of the game, is killed. Notice that even if you have more than one character in your party, the game is still centred around him and losing him means game over.

= Dismissing Party Members =

You can dismiss party members if you want to. Just trigger them to start a dialogue; making the character leave the party will be one of the available dialogue options.
