	What is ImapProxy ?
	-------------------

ImapProxy is a caching IMAP proxy daemon designed to be used with Horde/IMP.
The program forwards all traffic between the client and the server,
but keeps the connection to the server alive after the client logs out.
When the same user attempts to log in again, the proxy will use the cached
username/password pair to authenticate the client, and tie the new client
to the old server connection (which was kept alive).

	How to install ?
	----------------

Read the INSTALL file which is included with this package.

	How to configure ?
	------------------

This info should also be in the INSTALL file.

	Where to get it ?
	-----------------

The homepage of ImapProxy is at http://www.kuleuven.net/projects/imapproxy/
You can download it there.

	Tested platforms / Portability
	------------------------------

The program was developped on Debian GNU/Linux Kernel version 2.2, gcc 2.95.4.
It was also tested on AIX 4.3, gcc 2.95.2.
Blair Christensen provided support for Solaris.

Since I have never written anything that was supposed to be portable,
I have no idea if this will work anywhere else.
If you have helpfull hints about this, please contact me.
