=======================
Compilation under Linux
=======================

 ClanLib
 -------

Wormux uses the ClanLIB library version 0.6, so you'll have to install it.
Debian users can do this easily via the command
"apt-get install libclanlib-dev".

 Compilation
 -----------

In Linux, it suffices to type:

$ cd src
$ make RELEASE=1

To execute the game, change back to the root directory of Wormux and type
"./wormux"

 Installation / Uninstallation
 -----------------------------

In Linux, to install Wormux, type:

$ make RELEASE=1 && su -c "make install"

And to uninstall it:

$ su -c "make uninstall"

By default, the game is installed in /usr/. You can specify another
directory (which is practical if you don't have an admin account)

$ make config_install DIR=~/games
$ make install

===========================
Information on the makefile
===========================

Options :
---------

- RELEASE=1 : Disable everything that concerns debugging (in the code as well
              as in GCC), enable all compiler optimizations, and remove any
				  unneeded binaries.

- DIR : Specify the directory which Wormux is (un)installed in.

Rules :
--------

- make exec : Compilation, and execution
- make install : Compilation, and installation
- make qexec : Execution (without recompilation !)
- make tgz-bin : Compilation, and creation of archive that contains
                   the binary program and helper files
- make tgz-src : Creation of an archive containing the source code
- make all       : Compilation
- make info : A helper screen of information on the environment
                   and compiler options
- make uninstall : Uninstallation
- make clean : Cleans all the Wormux directories (keep objects and binarys)
- make cleanall : Cleans all the Wormux directories
- make config_install : Changes the installation directory

There are other rules, but they're only used uniquely internally.
