Introduction
------------
RunIt is a very simple application which was inspired by gnome's minicommander.
Basically it executes a single command, much like minicommander. In applet
mode it creates a small window that sits on the ROX panel where you can type a
command. When run as an application it gives you a window that will execute a
single command.

Requirements and Installation
-----------------------------
This product requires the following:

python  >= 2.2
pygtk
ROX     >= 1.2
ROX-LIB

The directory RunIt can be placed anywhere. Also, it contains scripts that
will locate python, provided python is in your path. If present, it will use
"python2" as the "python" command, otherwise it will use python as the python
command. This is to correct a problem with Red Hat and other distributions
that include multiple versions of python.

Usage
-----
Both the applet and the application are fairly straightforward. To use the
application, simply run RunIt from the ROX Filer and you will see a window
with a little text box. Type your command with arguments in the textbox and
it will execute it for you. If you desire the application to be run in a
terminal window, click the "run in xterm" box.

To run the applet, drag the runit icon to your panel. It operates in the same
way as the application, except it doesn't go away after you run an application.
Both the applet and the application create a history file in your choices
directory which can be scrolled through using the up and down arrows, just
like in a shell.

Limitations
-----------
Currently there is no tab completions and no support for piping.
