gallery is a SVGAlib based image browser. It supports at least GIF, PCX, XPM,
IFF, TGA, P?M, XBM and if you have needed libs also JPEG, PNG and TIFF.
[maybe more... try `gallery --formats`]

I *don't* advice you to run it first time when anything important is
running. SVGAlib programs can be very dangerous to your linux stability.

If you didn't run any SVGAlib based programs (DooM, Quake in console)
before, I advice you to unhash ``chipset VGA'' line in your
/etc/vga/libvga.config'' file *and* run gallery with ``-x320'' param. If it
will run, try to unhash chipset which sounds best for you. If you'll
have to reboot, try ``chipset VESA''.

Magic SysRq key can be very handy thing when playing with SVGAlib. Look
at /usr/src/linux/Documentation/sysrq.txt file for more info. You have
to have it compiled in into kernel. Another useful thing when dealing
with (not only) svgalib progs is text terminal on /dev/ttySx. Some
ancient x86 you may have will work fine. See Text-Terminal-HOWTO.

I'm *very* intrested in user's opinions... any feedback is welcomed
