0.1.0:
First bit of menuing code is from gnomud-0.0.1 by Tim Gerla with changes based on the GTK tutorial from the GTK people.

0.1.1:
Added word wrap and a save menu item that doesn't neccessarily open a save dialog box.
Infrastructure work to allow for multiple windows. No multiple windows yet.
Currently use go to edit README file.

0.1.2:
Added infrastructure for multiple windows. Actually call a function to create a window now.
Multiple windows are now running. Required a large rewrite of the file menus.
Removed File/Close menu item because it caused all kinds of problems. This needs to be fixed.

0.1.3:
	Program is aware of changes.
Open reuses same window if it is not named and not changed.
	Added default window size. 768 x 576.
Added autosave on quit or close. No way to quit without saving changes.
Reimplemeted Window list as a GList.
Fixed Window lists (g_alloc() doesn't allocate an empty list. It allocates a list with one empty item.)
Rewrote code to set window title to increase modularization.

0.1.4:
Added autosave code. When you type something into the program, it becomes a part of what is on the hard drive.
Added a delay for the autosave. It only saves every 30 seconds, and only if you're typing and stop.
Added a long term autosave so that even if you are typing, the system saves as soon as 30 minutes goes by. (I'd be impressed by someone that can type for 30 minutes without stoping for 30 seconds but oh well.)

0.1.5:
Fixed a small long_term_auto_save memory leak. Made it so that it doesn't save after 30 minutes if it saves after 30 seconds.
Reduced auto save times to 1 second and 1 minute.

0.1.6:
Created a new widget type called gtk_text_new. This widget is currently exactly the same as gtk_text but will eventually incorporate extra features.
Made it so that the text widget is frozen when opening documents. This makes large documents open much more quickly and less annoyingly.
Recognizes filenames passed on command line. Quietly ignores files it can't find.
Played with some parameters of the text widget. For instance, it scrolls a bit faster now.
Fixed slight bug in command line filenames where a command line argument that couldn't be opened froze the program.

0.1.7:
Window size can now be reduced after opening. Thanks to Trog <trogsta@geocities.com> for information on how to do this.

0.1.8:
Now reopens all windows that were open when the program was last quit. Doesn't retain window size or position yet.
Retains window size. Doesn't retain window position yet.
Windows return to previous position but their default position flashes onto the screen when you start up.

0.1.9:
Comes very close to maintaining scroll position. I think it is off by one. Yep.
An extra parameter when you quit. This will be so that it can save a selection.
	It saves selections.
	Added the window menu.
Fixed a bug where auto-open windows have named set to FALSE.
		04/15/98
Maintains position of cursor in window even if it has no selection.
Made saving position of cursor not so buggy.
Closing windows removes them from the window menu.

0.1.10:
Deals correctly with multiple files with the same name. Each gets a unique designation with a <?> after its name. Files ending with <?> would screw this up.
Includes <?> in window title if window isn't already open.
	User specific persistant desktop.
Use full path names if not given them when file names are specified on the command line.
Deal with the fact that files can end with <?>. (It appends the <?> if the file ends with a '>'.)
Added a space before the <?> (looks better, but half a space would be optimal.)
		04/21/98
	Added the Undo capability.
	Fixed the Undo capability.
Made the undo system undo a sequence of consecutive inserts in the same place as a single undo step.
Made the undo system aware if you stop for 15 seconds. It separates any time you stop for 15 seconds as a separate undo action.
Made the undo system activate the auto save system because window_changed wasn't getting called for some reason.
		4/22/98
	Added the redo system.
Got rid of the silly thing where hitting open after hitting new doesn't open a new window. This simply caused havoc among window menus and title bars alike.
		4/23/98
Added an accelerator table to the windows to allow quitting and undoing and such with hotkeys.
Added a status bar that didn't show up because I forgot to do a gtk_widget_show.
	Made status bar show up.
Added a default status bar message.
Fixed multiple undos. Multiple undos and a redo still doesn't work.

0.1.11:
		4/25/98
Added autoconf even though it doesn't do much.
	Started work on Document Index
Turned some #defines into variables in the gtktext code.
		4/26/98
Fixed the undo system. It's all better now.
Fixed the undo system again. Wasn't quite better yet. It seems to work great now.
Multiple backspaces are appended into one undo within the undo system.
	Added an about box.
Made it so that if you open a non-existant file it creates it.
Got rid of the new menu item since it is redundant with the open menu item. It will be added back in later at which time it will open a new scratch page.
Got rid of some redundant code. Added modularization.

0.1.12:
Made it so that multiple views of the same file can be open. Any change to one affects the others. It's not perfect though.
Added the search system. Not debugged yet.
Seems to work okay. Only it doesn't scroll if the object is off the screen. Haven't yet done replace or regexp.
	Made case-insensitive search facility.
Made search facility use a linked list of states instead of an array of bytes acting as booleans.
Created a logo. go.xcf. go.gif if you're lacking in the gimp department.

0.1.13:
		4/29/98
Fixed it so that when you make changes in one view of a document, it doesn't scroll the other view.
		4/30/98
Made it so that search makes the window scroll. A change to gtktext.c enabled this.
Fixed a bug introduced by the change to gtktext.c The windows started scrolling when loading as before. After switching the order of gtk_adjustments... and gtk_text_set_cursor everything was fixed. In fact, it looks like it fixed another bug involving the window not scrolling to quite the same place as it was left when the GO was last quit.
	Added Search and Replace.
		5/1/98
	Added Regular Expression Search.
Added Regular Expression Search and Replace but it doesn't work quite right when substituting in sub expressions.
		5/2/98
I think I fixed all the Regular Expression Search and Replace problems.
		5/4/98
Added Select All to the Edit menu. <control>a is already taken as beginning of line so I don't have an accelerator for it.
Added Cut, Copy, and Paste to the Edit menu.
Added Clear to the Edit menu.

0.1.14:
		5/6/98
Changed the manner in which directories are created. This is much more modularized now.
Did more work on the Document Index. Still not usable.
	More graphics. goicon.xcf and go.png.
		5/16ish/98
Actual, appearing document manager type thing. It doesn't actually do anything yet, but it shows up.
Destroyed undo system by changing the underlying text widget. I think it's actually the widget that's still buggy.
Fixed undo system by finishing the changes to the underlying widget.
Added Drag and Drop for opening files.
YAGL: Yet another GO logo. This time with go stones.
Added a bit of modularation by writing a function that appends a pair of strings with optional freeing of the original strings.
Document Index (working name) now actually works. It contains a list of all files opened this session.
		5/18/98
Document Index puts itself in the same place it was at the end of the previous session. It does not yet save its window layering information.
Document Index now contains a list of all files oipened ever.
Files now remember where they're supposed to be placed on the screen even if you close them without quitting.
	Idea menu now prepends.
Fixed bug with files remembering where they were (specifically in get_float).
Fixed a bug with a window manager delete event on the Document Index.
		5/19/98
Made changes to the widget communication based on a change in the underlying widget. Must test.
	Seems to test just fine.
Added a toolbar but it makes the text windows scroll. Again.
	No more toolbar.
Added drag and drop into the middle of the Document Index.
Fixed bug where document index switched order on quit and restart.
		5/20/98
Fixed the bug with the toolbar. Now the only problem is that the toolbar is not all that pretty.
Added a toolbar to the Document Index. It has up, down, and remove buttons.
Fixed a bug where the down button in the Document Index didn't work with the last item. A top array index bug.
Fixed the bug with the close button. I was freeing twice because the destroy callback was being called when I did gtk_widget_destroy. I wonder why.
Added a close button to the main toolbar.
Added a raise Document Index button to the main toolbar.

0.1.15:
Fixed the bug involving copy and paste from the edit menu.
Fixed the up and down buttons so that they select the newly positioned entry. Was broken by something.
		5/23/98
0.1.16:
Changed name of Document Index from Idea Manager to Document Index.
Fixed a bug with negative window locations.
Add a quit button to the toolbar in the Document Index.
		6/16/98
0.1.17:
Made changes to follow changes in accelerator system.
Accepts multiple files from a drag.
		6/18/98
Made go work with the new plugin system.

0.1.18:
Lots of changes to the plugin system. 3 different plugins.
Added all the auto* stuff. go now has all the standard make targets. It uses configure. Plugins and icons work no matter where you install or run the program.
Not making as frequent HISTORY comments as I should be.

0.1.19, 0.1.20:
	Bug fixes and quick releases.

0.1.21:
Added a --no-autoload option to prevent use of the persistant desktop.
Added a client_program_quit command to the list of plugin commands.

0.1.2?:
Added registration so that go doesn't have to be aware at compile time of what plugins are loaded.
Moved the plugins to another directory.
	Fixed Save As.

0.1.24:
I think I need to do a better job with HISTORY comments.

0.1.25:
Fixed it so that client.h would actually work with C++.
Added a check to not treat "." and ".."

0.1.26:
Made it so that Save As adds to the Document Index.
Added an INCLUDES define to the plugins directory.
Made it so that you can close the document index without quitting.
Added some infrastructure for a preferences system.
Made it so that if you close the document index and there are no other windows open, it does quit.

0.1.27:
Added a hide button and a hide menu item.
Fixed the logo in the about box.

0.1.28:
Applied a bug fix for sending and receiving large blocks of text from plugins.
Fixed a bug in plugin.c that was sending sizeof(int) too few bytes.

0.1.29pre1:
Working on a new widget to act as the text area.

0.1.29pre2:
More work on the new widget.

0.1.29pre3-8:
We now have a working GtkRichTextWidget. The latest renovation is a mouse settable current cursor position.

0.1.29pre9-12:
The latest renovations in GtkRichTextWidget are arrow key controls and buggy insertion and deletion from the UI.

0.1.30:
Made it so that go uses threads to do the parsing for plugins. This way, it's much easier to add functionality to the plugin interface.

0.1.31:
Switched over to using a ChangeLog instead of HISTORY. This should make inter developer communication a bit smoother.
This file is no longer in development. Please see ChangeLog.
