This is release 012 of Laola, a perl 4 library to access Ole compound
documents. Laola actually has a successor, a perl 5 module called OLE::Storage.
You can find this module at your favorite CPAN mirror, or at:

    http://wwwwbs.cs.tu-berlin.de/~schwartz/perl/

This module contains except elser all utilities offered here, and additionally
the program "herbert" to convert Excel-sheets to Html.

The names of the utilities here are all strange. This was by intention,
because I didn't want them to be used as utilities. They actually should be
used as code examples, exclusively. I learned that assumptions like these
are a basic design failure. Lesson: if you distribute something, regard it
to be perfect ;-) Unfortunately I didn't make it to do something perfect
until now.

I planned, not to support this perl 4 version of the library any further.
Therefore this release is a compromise, I didn't to anything except that
the library now handles big files (>8MB) and files with truncated last block
correctly, and the behaviour when encountering corrupt documents is slightly
gentlier.

Have fun,

Martin (no time, no time)
