discover − IP and Service discovery |
discover [-verbose] [-name] [-tcpscan <lowport>:<highport>,<lowport>:<highport>... ] [-timeout <seconds> ] [-sched <policy> <priority> ] <subnet> |
discover will iterate over all IPs in the specified subnet (e.g., 192.168.1.0/24) and ping the IP addresses. Those that respond will be written to the console. Optionally, if -name is specified a name lookup and replacement will be attempted on each successful IP. -tcpscan will do a port scan for all hosts that respond to the ping. The optional -timeout directive will change the max search time from the default 30 seconds to the specified time. -sched option sets the scheduler (see man sched_setscheduler).
