aw_cache_allocator_t Struct Reference

#include <util.h>

Detailed Description

Use intializer to create object to malloc/free using a cache. This is useful for apps that malloc/free many times the same objects. Avoids the overhead of malloc/free and heap fragmentation. NOTE: objects must be at least sizeof(void *)! Suggest objects be at least 8 bytes for portability.

Functions for this object are not thread safe and applications should wrap access with locks if multiple threads need concurrent access.

Data Fields

void * cache_list
u_int32_t cache_list_len
u_int32_t max_cache_size
size_t object_size
