1. License

The nvmixer source code is provided under the terms of the license agreement
contained in the LICENSE file included in this source archive. Please review
the LICENSE file before building and using nvmixer.

2. Prerequisites

nvmixer is a C/C++ application that is written to use the Qt application
framework. In order to build the nvmixer source code, you will need a C/C++
compiler and Qt 3.1 or better installed on your system.

We recommend using GNU gcc/g++ to compile nvmixer. These GNU toolchains are
available pre-compiled for all popular Linux distributions.

The environment variable QTDIR should be set to the base of your Qt
installation. This is typically a pathname of the form /usr/lib/qt-X.Y,
where X.Y is the version of Qt that you have of installed.

3. Building and installing

To build nvmixer, run 'make' in the nvmixer directory of the unpacked
source code. This will produce an nvmixer executable in the NxMixer
subdirectory.

To install the nxmixer executable, run 'make install'. By default, this
installs nvmixer in /usr/bin.

You can change this default install behavior by overriding the make variables
INSTROOT and/or TARGETDIR on the command line. The Makefile installs nvmixer
into $(INSTROOT)/$(TARGETDIR), with $(INSTROOT) defaulting to the empty
string and $(TARGETDIR) defaulting to /usr/bin. For example, to install into
/usr/local/bin, use 'make install TARGETDIR=/usr/local/bin'.

4. Troubleshooting

- 'make' produces lots of "No such file or directory" errors.

This is likely caused by make failing to pick up the Qt include files.
Be sure that you have set the environment variable QTDIR to point to the
   base of your Qt installation.

- 'make' complains that libqt-mt.so.3 cannot be found.

The Makefile in the NvMixer subdirectory is coded to link against libqt-mt,
which isn't always present in Qt installations. On the Makefile line defining
LIBS, try replacing '-lqt-mt' with '-lqt'.
