For testing in the Pegasus environment
		--------------------------------------

This allows testing a maximum of two clients with the CIM provider for
ELA in the Pegasus environment with the cimom version 2.3.2 installed.

The files used in the pegasus source to test the provider :
-----------------------------------------------------------
cimrules.mk Rules file to build the source
CreateFilter01.xml specifies the condition for creating
				a filter
CreateHandler01.xml specifies the destination for the first
				/ second subscription
CreateSubscription01.xml	used to create the first/ second
				subscription
DeleteFilter01.xml specifies the filter for deletion
DeleteHandler01.xml specifies the destination for deletion
DeleteSubscription01.xml	used to delete the first/ second
				subscription
IndConsumer.java source file to create the first subscription

The package :
-------------
cimrules.mk
startfirstlistener.sh
startsecondlistener.sh
createfirstsub.sh
createsecondsub.sh
delfirstsub.sh
delsecondsub.sh
CreateFilter01.xml
CreateHandler01.xml
CreateHandler02.xml
CreateSubscription01.xml
CreateSubscription02.xml
DeleteFilter01.xml
DeleteHandler01.xml
DeleteSubscription01.xml
DeleteHandler02.xml
DeleteSubscription02.xml

Test :
------
This information applies to both local as well as remote clients.
This section is to be referred to, after a 'make', 'make repository'
have already been done at the pegasus top level directory.

1) Set the cimrules.mk file to match the environment.
For this 'mv cimrules.mk cimrules.mk.orig' in (PEGASUS_ROOT)/src/Java
and copy ./cimrules.mk file (in this directory) to the specified
location.

2) cd (PEGASUS_ROOT)/src/Java/cimclient/tests/IndTests.
cp IndConsumer.java IndConsumer.java.orig
Set hostname, username and password in IndConsumer.java according to the
environment.
cp IndConsumer.java IndConsumer1.java
In the file IndConsumer1.java :
a) replace all occurrences of 'IndConsumer' with 'IndConsumer1'
b) set the listenerportno to '8190'.

cp Makefile Makefile.orig
Add the entry 'IndConsumer1.java' in the "CLASSES" section of Makefile.

do a make at (PEGASUS_ROOT)/src/Java/cimclient, and then, a make at
(PEGASUS_ROOT)/src/Java/cimclient/tests if it hasnt been built.

3) Set the "Destination" property in CreateHandler01.xml to
'http://<hostname>:8189/cimom/listener1'.

Set the port no in 'Destination' property to '8190' in CreateHandler02.xml.

4) now, start the ela_daemon (/etc/init.d/elad start) if it is not started,
and restart it (if it was already running). ensure that the cim server is
started as root.

5) Now modify the startfirstlistener.sh and the startsecondlistener.sh scripts
to set the variables (JAVA_HOME, XML_PARSER_CPATH, and PEGASUS_ROOT) to match
the environment.
Now, start the listener for the first subscription.
(sh startfirstlistener.sh)

6) Set user and password in createfirstsub.sh as appropriate. create the
first subscription ('sh createfirstsub.sh')

7) generate an indication by either
a) calling ela_test1.sh inside the directory /var/evlog/test,(if evlog is
installed)
or, b) './send_sig.sh <9041/42/43/44>' under ../sample.
This will generate event data at the listener console.

8) Modify createsecondsub.sh as in step 6), and to create a second subscription,
call 'sh startsecondlistener.sh' and then 'sh createsecondsub.sh'.

Indications generated after this will be delivered to both clients.

9) use 'sh delsecondsub.sh' to delete the second subscription. Also,
kill the listener for the second subscription. Now, any indications
generated will be sent to the first subscription alone. Similarly, the
first subscription may be cancelled.

Preferably, call 'sh delsecondsub.sh' before calling 'sh delfirstsub.sh'
since delfirstsub.sh assumes that the second sub is already deleted and hence
deletes the Pegasus_TestFilter01 instance (which is used in the second
subscription as well).
