... and patch from Debian/Linux by Dirk Eddelbuettel:

Debian GNU/Linux version maintained by Dirk Eddelbuettel <edd@debian.org>

The modifications for the Debian GNU/Linux 'tob' package are
Copyright 1996-1998 Dirk Eddelbuettel and released under the GNU GPL

Changes made to tob are released under the GPL and are
copyrighted to wrobell <wrobell@pld.org.pl>.

The main difference between tob and atob is that only afio
is supported to create backups. Of course, you can try to use tar
or something similar but I am supporting _only_ afio.

Please note, that tob is not dead and currently is developed
by Stephen van Egmond <svanegmond@tinyplanet.ca>. You can get
it on http://tinyplanet.ca/code/tob/ page.
