LICENCING

The dfa module has been included with the Awka package as an
optional means of improving regular expression performance.

This module was copied from the Gawk sourcecode, and minor
modifications were made to make it easier for Awka to call
its functions.

The module is compiled as a library (libdfa), however unlike
libawka, this library is covered by the GNU General Public
License, NOT the LGPL.

As libawka does not call any functions in this module, it retains
its LGPL licence.

USAGE

To use libdfa, your AWK program must be translated by awka using
the -d command-line option (see awka's manpage for more details).

This places calls to libdfa in the translated C code produced by
Awka, and therefore places this C code under the GPL. You must
be aware of this, as it has a:q
