This directory contains everything needed to build and experiment
with the Apache SIP module. Full documentation can be found in
www/htdocs/README.html.

This build/instructions current as of Apache 2.0a4

The patch file buff_batch is a patch to src/main/buff.c under the
Apache tree. Apply the patch to the the file to generate the new version.
This adds one function to the buff.c routine that lets you read a line from
a socket without removing it from the socket. This is needed to determine
if a message is HTTP of SIP and still leave it there if it is HTTP. This
patch won't be needed once a bug in Apache that won't allow per-port
module configurations gets fixed.

Place the file mod_sip.c into src/modules/extra. It has a couple of
lines that are surrounded by HACK_TILL_FIXED blocks to work around the
bug above. Once the bug is fixed, these can be removed, and the patch above
won't be needed. Note that in www/conf/httpd.conf there is an
alternate config (port based) once the bug is fixed.

In the src directory, type:

./buildconf
./configure --with-mpm=prefork --with-module=modules/extra/mod_sip.c
make

To build the new Apache server.

The tree www is a fully working root for the modified Apache, complete
with configuration file, documentation, testing instructions, and a sample
CGI script that will support redirection (may need to be hacked for your
site IP addresses etc.)

That's it!
