Installation
============
The installation/compilation of the Luminance Panel is simply. If you
are using a Debian system you just dpkg -i luminance-panel...deb. However
if you are compiling it from source it becomes a matter of:

./configure
make
su (if you have not already done so)
make install

Poof. Its installed. The global configuration files default to /usr/etc/luminance-panel/menu /usr/etc/lumaince-panel/launchbar. The default files included show how to use all the different configuration methods. Take a look at them and it should be pretty self-evident on how to change them.

If you would like to make the menu vary on a user basis you may add ~/.luminance/launchbar and ~/.luminance/menu the configuration is identical to the global files however they differ on a user basis. The user configuration takes precedents over the global configuration.

The panel was designed to be run with the oroborus window manager. Your success will vary with other window managers.
