dc_qt

This program is meant to be a GUI to the dctc client. That means that dctc is required. Get it from http://ac2i.tzo.com/dctc/ dc_gui is not required.

dc_qt is very much a work in progress. Many features are still lacking and it still crashes sometimes. Any help would be much appreciated. Even just a note to say that it crashed while doing (fill in the blank).

dc_qt compiles against both Qt 2.3.x (and possibly earlier, I've only got 2.3.2) and Qt 3.x. However, it is Qt 3.x native. Not everything works properly under Qt 2.3.x. I haven't tested extensively, but the only problems I've noticed are with sorting and the favourite hub list. (I've made the compiler generate a warning, please submit a patch to fix it if you know Qt 2.3.x)

Install:
Make sure QTDIR points to your qt installation.

$ export QTDIR=/usr/local/qt (or something similar)

With Qt 3.x: edit dc_qt.pro and turn the verbosity on or off by editing QMAKE_CXXFLAGS_DEBUG.

Now run
$ qmake dc_qt.pro

If you get a link error, try changing -lqt-mt to -lqt in the Makefile

With Qt 2.3.x edit the Makefile and change the CXXFLAGS to whatever you want.

$ make

If you get a link error, try changing -lqt-mt to -lqt in the Makefile

If the make doesn't work, send me the output
$ make clean; make &> debug.txt

Make install currently does nothing. You can run dc_qt from the current directory by
$ ./dc_qt

or copy it to /usr/local/bin by
$ cp dc_qt /usr/local/bin
