For further information please refer to the corresponding release notes
file.

------------
Installation
------------
Since this is a source code release, the gcc compiler is required to be
installed on the target system, as well as development header files for
the required libraries.

To install libdc1394_avt, execute the following commands:
  > tar -xvzf libdc_avt-2.1.2.tar.gz
  > cd libdc_avt-2.1.2
  > ./configure
  > make
  > sudo make install

Hint: Depending on your Linux distribution, applications may have problems
locating the library at the default installation path (/usr/local/lib).
A simple workaround is using '--prefix=/usr' as configure parameter. This
will cause the library to be installed in /usr/lib. Please note that this
might not be recommended by your Linux distributor, since custom-built
libraries are mixed with distribution packages.
However, this should not cause any problems, provided that any previously
installed version of the libdc1394 has been uninstalled before.

To install cc1394, execute the following commands:
  > tar -xvzf cc1394-3.0.tar.gz
  > cd cc1394
  > qmake
  > make
  > sudo make install.

Please note!
------------
Before installing libdc1394_avt please remove any existing libdc1394
package.
