Toy Cars is a physics based 2-D racer.

The current build implements three modes of play. These are: Timed Race, Hot Potato, and Knock 'em Out. You can have up to 16 human or computer controlled players except in Hot Potato mode which only supports two human controlled players. There is also a track editor.

In Timed Race mode the aim is to complete four laps in the best time you can.

In Hot Potato mode the aim is to avoid having the bomb when the fuse runs out. The bomb can be transfered between players if they crash into each other.

In Knock 'em Out mode the aim is to race around the track and to try and prevent your car from going off the screen.

Player 1: arrow keys
Player 2: w,s,a,d
Player 3: i,k,j,l
Player 4: 8,5,4,6 (on the keypad)

If there are more than two human controlled players in the game, then auto acceleration will be enabled. In this case the use of the accelerate key will be unnecessary.

When in the track editor press h to see a list of available commands. Right clicking on the macintosh can be simulated by command-clicking.

Run toycars -h to see a list of available command line options.

For Xcode users wishing to build from source code: you will need to modify the path names in the project build settings to the locations where your libraries are installed.

Known issues:
Slow downs may occur when using more than one car model in a single game. This is due to not having enough vram to hold all the sprite data.
