 AsmEdit version 0.9 (beta)

What is AsmEdit?

 AsmEdit binary is "a" and the source is a.asm. It
 is a mode oriented editor similiar to vi and others.

Why should I use "a"?

 If you have used the Intel editor called
 Aedit or the clone called Mbedit then you
 will find "a" comfortable. If not, then
 you probably do not need "a". For assembler
 coders the IDE features may be useful along
 with the source files.

What are the major features?
 The manual is in file "a.hlp" and describes
 the editor in detail. A quick summary
 follows:

 * Assembler IDE features
 * Small size to feature ratho
 * hooks for helpler routines
 * macros
 * works in console and xterm.
 * utilizes mouse in xterm.

How do i do a quick install?
 Currently "a" is designed to run from user
 space and be on the PATH. Since its only
 interface uses kernel calls (x86 kernel) then
 it should run without compiling. See INSTALL
 and the manual for more information.

Is it possible to get bug fixes and talk to
the author?

 The author can be found on the DesktopLinuxAsm
 discussion group at yahoogroups. To join send
 a blank email to:

   DesktopLinuxAsm-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

 There are not many Linux assembler programmers
 doing anything on the desktop so this is a very
 small group and works better than a personal email
 address.
