<fzZzy> got cookies working

<fzZzy> now I just want to write a trail of the pages the tests loaded to disk

<fzZzy> make sure that pages with 500 response codes make sane error messages

<fzZzy> and we can start writing tests

<fzZzy> did you look at the old (0.6.5) test_webui?

<fzZzy> you should look at it

<fzZzy> here's what I do:

<fzZzy> start up the app, and tail -f web.log in another terminal

* slyphon nods

<slyphon> i'll look into it

<fzZzy> hit the app, and watch the urls that are being requested

<fzZzy> then, I take those urls, copy and paste into the test_webui, and make
        some tests out of them

<fzZzy> if a form post was required, I open the source of the page,
        pretty-format the html (I use omniweb, you'll probably have to find something
        else) and make a note of all the name="" attributes in the form

<fzZzy> then, it basically looks like this in the test:

<fzZzy> self.doGet("/foo/bar/freeform_post:hello", {'greeting': 'hello', 'greetee': 'world'})

* slyphon nods again

<fzZzy> and then self.assertContains("some text which shows up on the page after successful post")

<slyphon> mm

<fzZzy> maybe I'll change that to assertInResult

<slyphon> that's a bit clearer

<fzZzy> done

<slyphon> cool

<fzZzy> here's an example
<fzZzy> class BasicTests(functional.FunctionalBase):
<fzZzy>     def test_1_incorrectLogin(self):
<fzZzy>         self.doGet("/perspective-init", {'username': 'test', 'password': 'test'})
<fzZzy>         self.assertInResult("logged in incorrectly")

<slyphon> gotcha

<slyphon> lemme try writing a basic test, and then we can decide how we want to
          divide up who-writes-what-test

<fzZzy> and the tests should be named alphabetically

<slyphon> alphabetically?

<fzZzy> test_1, test_2 etc

<fzZzy> they will run in sorted order
