WMGmail -- DockApp that monitors your gmail inbox.

* About

wmgmail is a DockApp to monitor your gmail inbox. DockApps are
supported at least by WindowMaker, fluxbox, blackbox and AfterStep
-window managers.

* Usage

Start wmgmail and position it as your other dockapps.
Click yellow C to launch graphical configuration. Enter your
configuration information. It will be saved to $HOME/.wmgmailrc
file. Read about it's layout in 'Using wmgmail without pygtk'.
Click big 'Letter' looking thing to start WWW-browser and access your
gmail inbox.
Click red 'Arrow to right' on the right from letter-looking thing to
see short preview of new mails in inbox.
When in mail previews, click a message to start WWW-browser and access
gmail.

* Dependencies

wmgmail has four dependencies. For absolute minimum utility you'll
need python, pywmgeneral and libgmail. If you want graphical
configuration and mail preview, you will also need reasonably recent
(for GTK version 2) pygtk.

python: Most distributions have it.
pywmgeneral: <http://foo.unix.se/pywmdockapps>
libgmail: <http://libgmail.sf.net>
pygtk: <http://www.pygtk.org> (Most distros have reasonably new)

 +Debian: I've packaged pywmgeneral and libgmail for Debian, they are
available through an apt repository here: <http://psavo.iki.fi/debian/>

* Using without pygtk

If you're not interested in using wmgmail's graphical abilities, you
will need to create a $HOME/.wmgmailrc -file. It's layout is rather
self-explanatory:
- -
[DEFAULT]
username = your.gmailusername
browser_command = firefox %s
password = password_in_plaintext
check_interval = 5
- -
- username is simple username, eg. 'googleuser' if your address is
  googleuser@gmail.com.
- browser_command is the command that will be used to launch browser
  when you click big letter. %s will be substituted with
  "http://gmail.google.com/gmail"
- password is your password in plaintext. eg. 'b4dp4ssw0rd' if that's
  what you type into gmail password box. I've no idea how to store
  that safely and encrypted. (And if you're not willing to use pygtk,
  there's no way to ask it in every session..)
- check_interval is how long wmgmail will sleep in minutes between
  checking state of your inbox.
