You can enter the following options for connecting to the database:

If the connection to the database is slow, you can work with reduced functionality in the SQL Studio in WAN mode (Wide Area Network). In WAN mode, only SQL Dialog is available. In addition, you are able to access your SQL Studio user settings. If you want to work in WAN mode, activate the WAN Mode checkbox in the toolbar, and then open the database session.

If an existing database connection is inactive for a long period, the database will usually disconnect automatically. You can, however, change this. Activate the NOTIMEOUT checkbox in the toolbar, and then open the database session.
