SQL Studio (GUI
for Microsoft Windows): When requested by the client, a connection is set up
to the database instance
through the ODBC interface. After this, communication can take place between
the client and the database instance.
Web SQL
Studio: Calling the Web SQL Studio in the Web browser sets
up a connection to the client (Web SQL service integrated into the
Web
server). The communication between this client and the
database instance takes places through the ODBC interface (see also
Architecture of the SAP DB Web
Tools).
