• You have administrator rights for your host.
• You have unpacked the required installation files.
• The prerequisites listed in Updating an Existing Database Instance have been fulfilled.

1. Start the installation by executing the SDBUPD.exe program in the command prompt.
2. Specify which database instance you want to start using the instance ID.
3. Specify the name of the DBM user.

SDBUPD determines the Update Strategy and performs the update. You can check the result of your update using the log (Logging).
