Performing a Recovery with External Backup Tools
(DBMGUI)
When you use external
backup tools for recovery, the
external
backup IDs are automatically determined by the
Database
Manager GUI, displayed so that the user can check them,
and used by the Database Manager GUI for the recovery. The
user does not have to explicitly determine or specify the external backup IDs
because the Database Manager GUI determines the necessary
information.
If you want to display the external backup IDs for information purposes, you have the following options:
· Determining and Displaying External Backup IDs (DBMCLI)
· Determining and Displaying External Backup IDs (DBMGUI)
The operational state of the database instance is ADMIN. You have configured the relevant backup tool.
