Use

You can change the passwords of all DBM operators and the SYSDBA (first database user) using the Database Manager in various Structure linkoperational states of the Structure linkdatabase instance:

User Class

User

Operational State of Database Instance

Structure linkDatabase Manager Operator

First Database Manager operator

All other DBM operators

OFFLINE

Operator password can be changed in any operational state

ONLINE

Prerequisites

You have transferred the database instance into the appropriate operational state (see Starting the Database Instance, Stopping the Database Instance).

Procedure

  1. Choose Instance ® Configuration ® Users.
  2. Select the required operator and then choose Users ® Edit.
  3. Select the tab page General and then choose Change Password.
  4. Enter the old and new passwords and save your entries.
