Procedure

You can perform the configuration for the SAP DB database system as follows:

  1. Create an appropriate backup medium with the Database Manager.
  2. Set the environment variable NSR_ENV (Setting the Environment Variable NSR_ENV).
  3. Create a configuration file (see also: Example Configuration File).
  4. If you want to perform parallel backups, note the information in the parallel backups section.
  5. Test the following procedures:
    Backup with External Backup Tools
    Restore with External Backup Tools
