Performing Parallel Backups (TSM) 

Prerequisites

You have configured TSM according to the details in the section Configuring the TSM Connection.

The following table informs you for which SAP DB versions you can use TSM to perform a parallel backup or a recovery.

Using the Database Manager, you have to configure a media group whose members correspond to the conventions described in the section Backup Medium. In particular, each media group name must have the prefix ADSM.

Parallel backups can be performed for data backups (complete and incremental) only.
