The Runtime for SAP AS installation profile contains the SAP DB client software for the SAP application server of a SAP system. The following software packages are contained in this profile:

• Administrative tools (in the Base software package)
• SAP DB Precompiler runtimes that the SAP application server loads in order to be able to connect to the SAP DB database (in several PCR<version> software packages)
