Installing Redfoot
Prerequisites
- Python version 2.2.1 or greater
- Python is needed in order to run redfoot.py.
- RDFLib-1.2.x
- RDFLib must be installed against the version of Python you plan to use or on your python path.
- bsddb3
- bsddb3 is required for rdflib.InformationStore.
- Medusa-0.5.2-rf1
-
Medusa is required unless http support is not desired. If
you already have a version of Medusa installed, you will may have to
manually update it to the version included in this release (0.5.2-rf1)
which, at the time of this release, is the latest Updated Medusa
Release plus one bug fix required by Redfoot. The bug fix has been
made to the Medusa CVS and so should be in 0.5.3 when it comes
out.
Running Install
From the root directory of the distribution run the following
command:
python2.2 setup.py install
This will install redfoot in the bin directory (as defined by distutils -- which for me defaults to /usr/local/bin/ on linux and c:/python22/Scripts/ on Windows).
See Running Redfoot for instructions on how to run.
