			VMAILMGR-ADMIN INSTALLATION
			***************************

vmailmgr-admin is fairly straightforward to install once vmailmgr and omail are
up and running:

0. Login as root.

1. Unpack the distribution. All the vmailmgr-admin files are contained in the
   two subdirectories c and php.
	cd /usr/local
	tar xvzf /path/to/vmailmgr-admin-0.97.tar.gz
	ln -s vmailmgr-admin-0.97 vmailmgr-admin

2. Build the c programs:
	cd vmailmgr-admin/c
	./build.sh

You will be told that the C programs are going to be installed setuid root.
If you have read the code and think it's safe, go ahead.
Note that vmailmgr-admin will not work if the programs are not setuid.

3. Create a web server alias or virtual directory for the PHP pages. For apache,
add the following line to httpd.conf:

	Alias "/vmailmgr-admin" "/usr/local/vmailmgr-admin/php"

It's probably wise to limit access to vmailmgr-admin by IP address and/or
protect it with a password. See the apache docs.

4. Change the permissions on the following files so the web server can write to
   them:

	/var/qmail/control/rcpthosts
/var/qmail/control/virtualdomains (create it if it doesn't exist)

/etc/vmailmgr/vmailmgrquotas (or wherever omail expects to find it)

5. Edit c/defines.h and php/defines.php to suit your setup. Beware:
restartqmail.c is written with daemontools in mind; if you specify the
wrong SERVICE_DIR restartqmail will be unable to restart qmail and
mail addressed to new domains you create will bounce.

SERVICE_DIR depends on your setup; it may be /service or /var/service.

6. Fire up a web browser, point it to http://localhost/vmailmgr-admin/ and start
   bug hunting.
