This is the Slicker style.

 It is based very heavily on clee's dotNET style. It will eventually be an
interpretation of Fop's mockups as seen on kde-look.org and the Slicker homepage.
 Bellow is the original readme from the dotNET style. This will gradually change
as the Slicker style becomes it's own thing.

 The Pseudo3D option mentioned bellow is no longer used.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the standalone (read: you can download it from kde-look.org or c133.org)
version of my dotNET style. It requires KDE3.

Once you've compiled this with the standard:

$ ./configure
$ make
# sudo make install

You can select it from the KDE control center.

If you manually edit your ~/.qt/kstylerc (yeah, I haven't added a GUI for it,
because there's no standard way to configure per-style configuration options in
KDE yet) here are the lines of interest to add:
-------------------
Pseudo3D=true
UseTextShadows=true
-------------------
Pseudo3D is a new rendering mode that I'm playing with and may be the basis of
a future fork of dotNET under a different name. We'll see.
UseTextShadows enables text shadows in popup menus. It's extremely subtle, but
I think that it improves readability of the menus and it looks pretty. Try it,
see if you like it, and let me know how you feel.

PS: If you like this, you might like some of the other stuff I'm working on.
Right now, that list includes Kiwi (http://c133.org/kiwi/kiwi.png) which is
nearing a 0.6 release and is quite stable. The new release will feature a
rewritten backend.
