This is the GNU 3DKit, which is a set of general-purpose Objective-C
libraries that help writing 3D software, based on OpenGL/Mesa and GNUstep. The
libraries consist of everything from vector geometry classes, such as matrices
and vectors, to a complete scenegraph API.

It is important to note that you will need a fast computer to use the GNU
3DKit, as well as a hardware accelerate 3d graphics controller!

Here is some introductory info to get you started:

* Initial reading

   The file `INSTALL' gives instructions for installing the package.

   The GNU 3DKit web site can be found at http://www.3dkit.org/

   For documentation on individual libraries, look in the documentation
   section/directory for that library.

   The GNU 3DKit libraries are covered under the GNU Public Library
   License. This means you can use these libraries in any program (even
   non-free programs) as long as you make the source and improvements you
   have made to the libraries freely available. You should read the
   COPYING.LIB file for more information.

   GNU 3DKit tools, test programs, and other files are covered under the
   GNU Public License. This means if you make changes to these programs,
   you cannot charge a fee, other than distribution fees, for others to
   use the program. You should read the COPYING file for more information.

* How can you help?

   Give me feedback! Tell me what you like; tell me what you think
   could be better. Send emails to <probert@sgi.com> or <phr@3dkit.org>.

   Of course you also can contribute code, documentation or whatever might
   help the project!
