WHAT IS ACRIPPER

	<http://sourceforge.net/projects/acripper>

ACRipper is a tool for ripping and encoding CD tracks on the fly.
It also gets CD information from feeddb.org <http://www.freedb.org/> and writes
it to the encoded files. If no information from freedb.org is available,
it tries to read CD information (CD title, artist name, tracks names) from a
text file names "titles.txt" in the working directory.
In summary, ACRipper is intended to easily and quickly create ogg files
with tracks information from the command-line. It also supports FLAC and MP3 codec.

PURPOSE

Offer an as simply as possible command-line tool for creating ogg files.
Actually I needed a tool for quickly extract music from my CD's and play it on
my ogg player. Don't want to launch graphical stuff with bulks of mouse clicks,
a command at the prompt should be enough.
Acripper does not very much but I hope it does it well and I don't wanna it to
	do much more!
If you read this and or better really use acripper then send me an e-mail, I
	would feel it so amazing!!!

REQUIREMENT

Folowing software must be installed on your system:

	cdparanoia <http://xiph.org/paranoia/>
	oggenc <http://www.vorbis.com/>
bash or other bash compatible shell (GNU/Linux default shell)

	Optional:
flac <http://flac.sourceforge.net/> only if you want to encode to FLAC
lame <http://www.mp3dev.org> only if you want to encode with mp3 extension

USER MANUAL

Insert your CD in the device and just type acripper at the prompt.
If no CDDB server info is found, ACRipper will try to read CD info from titles.txt by default.
You can force ACRipper to use a file with the -f[file] option. If no [file] argument is provided,
	ACRipper tries to use titles.txt.
In any case if no info could be retrieved from freedb.org and no file is found either,
	then tracks names are auto-generated.

	Usage: acripper [-e flac|ogg|mp3] [-f[file] -n]

Option -n append a counter on the output file names. Useful to force ogg player playing tracks in the
	original CD sequence.

Here below the structure of titles.txt (or any CD info file) starting at line 1 with artist name:

		artist
		title
		genre
 		track 1
 		...
 		track n

	Examples:
Invoke ACRipper to first try to use CDDB server. If no info is available, titles.txt will be read.
		>acripper

Force ACRipper to read CD info from titles.txt
		>acripper -f

Force ACRipper to read CD info from cdinfo.txt
		>acripper -fcdinfo.txt

Encode to FLAC and read CD info freom cdinfo.txt
		>acripper -e flac -fcdinfo.txt
