Monitoring the Message Store
Using the Management Console, you can obtain a high-level overview of activity in the Scalix server message store.
| Note |
The Management Console does not permit direct management of the message store. That is done in the CLI. For more on the CLI, see the Scalix Administration Guide. |
To monitor the message store:
- In the toolbar, click the Server Info button.
- In the contents pane, select the sever for which you want to monitor the message store.
-
When the server's options appear in the display pane, click the Storage tab.
- The Storage tab summarizes these capacity statistics:
-
Total mailbox size: The cumulative total of all current mailboxes, including folder items, inbox items and calendar items.
-
Total wastebasket size: The cumulative total of items in the trash that have not been expressly deleted.
-
Total Message Store size: The actual capacity of this server’s message store.
- A broad colored bar displays at-a-glance capacity levels in one solid color, and the used portion in a contrasting color.
-
You can also review the ten highest-capacity mailboxes, and see (in kilobytes) how much space each mailbox takes, including any undeleted trash. The number of mailboxes can be increased according to your preference.
