Assigning Users as Group Managers
A full Scalix administrator can delegate limited group-management permissions to a current Scalix user, to manage one or more groups that they are already members of. Such users undertake a Group Manager role, which has a much more limited scope than ScalixGroupAdmin members, who can manage all of the existing groups.
A Group Manager can:
-
Add or delete members from a group in which they are members
-
Modify a limited set of group-specific information about the members
Assigning a group manager
To assign a current user as a group manager:
- In the toolbar, click the Groups button.
- In the contents pane, select the group to which you want to assign a manager.
- When the group's options appear in the display pane, click the Managers tab.
-
Use the filtering feature to find the appropriate person.
- Click the checkbox to the left of the person you want to designate as group manager.
-
