Global Settings

If you are managing two or more Scalix servers, the global settings option in the Management Console allows you to make changes to multiple servers at once, reducing repetitious tasks and ensuring consistency in configurations and settings.

Alert: Global changes may override previously made server-specific settings. Similarly, individual modifications made later to a single server can override global settings.

To make global server settings:

  1. In the toolbar, click the Settings button.
  2. In the contents pane, a list of servers and their resources displays.
  3. If you are managing a multi-server installation, select Mail Servers in the contents pane.
  4. The Global settings options appear in the display pane to the right.
  5. A full set of tabs lets you modify the same range of settings for all the Scalix servers on your network that you might modify for a single server—as detailed elsewhere in this online help. For more information on each setting, see the help topics for individual servers:
